Bringing a Development in Music Technology Smart Hardware to Market
Abstract
Research in Digital Musical Instrument Design has seen many promising projects that have not been brought to the market despite the fact that they had potential to create useful products. In this paper we are presenting insight into motivation, technical design decisions, as well as strategic business decisions that lead to a successful product development and global distribution of a new digital music device.
